4 month update

Taylor had her 4 month checkup last Friday and is doing great! She was 14 lbs, 24" long - right around the 50th percentile. Her head, however, was in the 80th percentile at 42.5 cm! (I knew she was a genius). Speaking of her head...she is sporting quite the hairdo these days after losing a substantial amount of her hair...

A few weeks ago (June 6th to be exact), Taylor started (officially) rolling over back to belly (yay!). (Taylor was first seen rolling over in her crib, swaddled, around 2.5 months, but only did it once or twice). The first day she started rolling, she decided to practice in her crib that night - I had to flip her onto her back a few times when she'd get stuck.
Sleeping and naps have become a little more consistent. She roughly naps 3 times a day around 9, 12 and 3, and she is sleeping through the night (7pm - 7:30 am!) with the occasional semi-wake-up around 4 or 5 am (she will fuss a bit for a little while, then fall back to sleep). She is eating around 6 oz every 3 hours. The pediatrician says we can try solids any time we'd like, but that her tongue reflex is still pretty strong (she pushes anything you put in her mouth out with her tongue). So right now it's a little too soon. We'll be watching for signs of readiness though.

It was father's day this past weekend, and Taylor spent a special day with her dad & family.

Taylor's favorite things to do right now: playing with her feet, sitting in her bumbo, playing in her exersaucer, being sung to, and being read to. She's also been caught giggling a few times when daddy laughs in her ear, and when mommy kisses her chin.
