The Cousens: And that was Summer, and a 4 Month Update

(For the record, I started writing this post almost a month ago....)

I blinked, and just like that, summer is over. I don't ever recall a summer going this quickly. Ever. Thomas is 4 months old already! It seems like just yesterday I was in the hospital practicing for my exorcist audition. We've also had the busiest summer I can recall. Life with two kids is go-go-go. All the time. And with a baby boy that loves to eat around the clock, no one is getting much rest.

I find myself constantly comparing Thomas and Taylor, and how Taylor was at his age. It's really interesting how different they are, already so apparent at only 4 months old. She was an amazing sleeper - 12.5 hours a night!!! Thomas, on the other hand, is still up twice at night to eat (usually around 11 & 3). She ate well, and napped on a pretty consistent routine. Thomas is still all over the place with naps and eating. There are similarities too. They are both 14 pounds at 4 months. Like Taylor, Thomas also enjoys sitting in his Bumbo (ahem, his pink Bumbo), taking baths, being read and sung to. Oh, and Thomas also laughs when mommy kisses his chin and daddy plays Express Elevator :)

Taylor is really starting to enjoy Thomas now that he's a bit more interactive. She is great at making him laugh, and he always gets a giant smile on his face when he hears her voice.

We had a lot of fun adventures over the summer, including a very popular trip to the UNH Dairy Barn to see all the cows, a few trips to the beach, ice cream, visits with family and friends.
