Ringing in 2013

2013 is off at lightening speed. We have been super busy keeping up with a girl on the move!

This footage was taken about a week ago, and already she's cruising around the house with her walker. She's not quite standing on her own without holding onto anything yet, but we're sure she will be soon.

Taylor is becoming more and more independent and communicative! It's really amazing to see how quickly she is learning new skills and processing information. She points, waves, claps, understands some words (like "baby," and "ding-dong" - to ring the doorbell on her play house), turns on the lights, plays peek-a-boo, and is eating just about everything under the sun. She still doesn't say much for words (other than da da, ba ba, na, mmmm, the occasional ma ma, etc.) but seems to be saying "what's that?" to just about anything and everything she sees or touches. It actually sounds more like "whass-aaaaa?" Her favorite foods are pasta wheels with tomatoes/tomato sauce, applesauce, yogurt, pears, carrots, ham, and cheese, but she also really likes oatmeal, asparagus, fish, chicken, hummus, french toast and bananas. She loves to try anything we are eating, even if she just ate her own meal. She loves books and being read to, loves bath time and playing with water, loves climbing on things and rolling around on the couch or the bed. She loves music, and her favorite songs right now are "Bringing Home my Baby Bumblebee" and 'Wheels on the Bus." She's such a curious baby (can I still call her a baby?!), and wants to know everything going on around her!

In case I forget to thank you later, Taylor (which I won't), thank you a million times for sleeping 12 hours every night! 6:30-6:30!! And for being such a great baby! We are so lucky!
